Pedro Chomnalez is a founding partner and principal based in New York.
Learn More Pedro has over thirty years of investment banking, strategic advisory and direct investing experience.

Prior to founding CH Global Capital in 2014, Pedro worked at Credit Suisse, where he was Co-Head of the Credit Suisse Emerging Markets Council from 2010 to 2013. Pedro was also Head of Credit Suisse Latin America Investment Banking from 2004 to 2010 and also a Director of the Credit Suisse International Private Equity Fund. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 1999, Pedro was an investment banker at Lehman Brothers for 8 years and a management consultant for Accenture for 4 years.

Pedro has forged close relationships with some of the most prominent families throughout Emerging Markets and Europe, as well as the top management of multinationals, sovereign wealth funds and institutional investors. Pedro serves or has served on the board of directors of several public and private companies as well as family foundations.

Pedro has an MBA from INSEAD and a MS in Economics and BS in Econometrics from the Université Paris II – Assas. He is fluent in English, Spanish and French, and has good working knowledge of Portuguese.

Maria Herrera is a founding partner and principal based in New York and primarily focused on investment advisory and asset management.

Prior to founding CH Global Capital, Maria worked for over a decade in Investment Banking, first at Lehman Brothers and later at Merrill Lynch where she was a Director in the Telecom & Media, and the Latin America Investment Banking Groups. Prior to working in Investment Banking, Maria was a management consultant for Accenture.

Over her career in investment banking, management consulting, investment advisory and direct investing, Maria has forged close relationships with the controlling shareholders of leading businesses in Latin America as well as family offices in the Americas and Europe. She has developed close relationships with best in-class asset managers and is an advisor to Princeville Capital, an investment firm focused on backing rapidly-growing technology-related companies around the world.

Maria is passionate about education and is actively involved in several non-for-profit endeavors, where she serves as a board member.

Maria has a M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the School of Engineering of the University of Buenos Aires, an MBA from The Wharton School, and a M.A. in International Studies from the Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania. She is fluent in English, Spanish and French, and has good working knowledge of Portuguese.

Marcus Silberman is a principal of CH Global, based in São Paulo and focused on strategic advice and capital solutions.
Learn More Marcus has more than 25 years of M&A experience advising local and multinational clients in Brazil and Latin America. He has successfully completed more than 70 M&A transactions totaling more than US$170 billion.

Prior to joining CH Global, Marcus was co-head of Latin America M&A at Bank of America Merrill Lynch focused on Brazil. Prior to that, he was co-head of Emerging Markets M&A at Credit Suisse and member of the Global Advisory Investment Banking Committee.

Marcus has a Ph.D. in Finance from the Marshall Business School at the University of Southern California. He also has a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from PUC-RJ and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from UFRJ.

Gabriela Yu is a Managing Director based in New York. Gabriela has over 12 years of capital markets, investment banking and direct investing experience.

Prior to joining CH Global Capital, Gabriela was a Director at Sophia Capital, a private equity firm focused on South America. Prior to that, Gabriela worked for over a decade at Credit Suisse’s Latin America Equity Capital Markets and Investment Banking teams, based in New York and Buenos Aires. At Credit Suisse, Gabriela built relationships with leading businesses in Latin America across sectors and executed M&A and capital markets transactions. Gabriela placed 15+ international equity offerings for Latin American issuers, amounting to over US$10 billion of equity. As part of Credit Suisse’s Equity Capital Markets team, Gabriela also advised US tech companies in their capital raising efforts.

Gabriela holds a Master’s Degree in Finance and B.S. in Business Administration from Universidad de San Andrés, Argentina.
